Grilled Mint and Coriander Cottage Cheese

1 lb Paneer cut into rectangular pieces

  • 1 tsp flour

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • Mint coriander paste (as noted below)

    • 1 cup chopped coriander leaves

    • ¾ cup chopped mint leaves

    • Lemon juice one teaspoon

    • Ginger garlic paste one teaspoon

    • 1 serrano pepper

    • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  1. Grind the above ingredients in a blender. Add very little water if necessary. Mix with one teaspoon of flour and add salt to taste.

  2. Marinate the paneer in the marinade for 2 to 3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.

  3. Put some oil in a non stick pan. When it is hot add the paneer marinade onto the skillet. Cook on medium flame, till the marinade dries up and slowly starts getting charred which is approx 8-10 min on each side. Do not turn too often as the paneer may break.

  4. The paneer can also be broiled in the oven instead of on the flame.

  5. Sprinkle garam masala on top of the paneer at the end.

  6. Serve with tomatoes, onions and lime.
